How to Grow Red Caladiums in Sun or Shade Garden

Tropical foilage caladiums are among the most popular and easy to grow bulbs for lasting summer beauty. They add interesting texture and color to borders, flower beds, baskets and containers. Although their colors range from whites to pinks and greens, the red caladiums are extremely popular for a bright accent to your garden.

Growing and caring for caladiums is easy. Make sure the night temperature is above 60 degrees before putting them in the ground or the bulb may rot. Keep them evenly moist but not wet. They will look great until fall when you can dig them for winter storage in most areas.

Some gardeners prefer to mix caladium colors while others prefer a single hue to add drama.
