Bloom Time and Color: Globe flowers have usually have golden yellow blooms although some cultivars have bright orange flowers. Blooms appear from late spring through mid summer.
Foliage: The foliage is fine cut and stays in pleasing clumps under the flower stalks which rise above the foliage.
Growth Habit: The globe flower plants tend to grow in mounds or clumps, and while it can self-seed in ideal conditions, it isn’t generally considered invasive.
Dimensions: Globeflower grows around 2-3 feet tall and 18 inches wide.
Maintenance:Some gardeners have had success getting a second flush of blooms by deadheading flowers after the first flush of blooms. If there are any volunteer seedings, they are easy enough to dig up and transplant or give away.
Pests or Diseases: Globe flowers don’t seem to be plagued by any particular diseases or pests.
Propagation Methods: While trollius plants can spread naturally in areas where they have favorable conditions, they can be slow-growing and better planted as established plants in other areas.

Preferred Conditions: Globe flowers prefer shady or sunny conditions but don’t withstand heat or long periods of drought well. Evenly moist soil and moderate heat seems to do best.
Companion Plants: Plant globe flowers where the bright, cheerful colors will contrast and stand out. Contrast them with blue or purple flowers like iris or blue star. Gardeners could also consider using globe flower with other warm toned flowers like zinnia, cosmos or marsh mallows.
