The famous sale of flowers from the show gardens begins at 4.30pm on the final Friday.
As the show is located within the London congestion zone which attracts a charge for cars, organisers suggest using Public Transport as the best and easiest method to reach the gardens. Here’s a quick guide to the best tubes, trains and buses to take.
The closest Tube station is Sloane Square on the yellow and green District and Circle Line. Once at Sloane Square it’s an easy 10 minute walk to the showgrounds.
Numbers 11,137,211,239,360 and 452 all stop near the show just ask the driver where to get off.
Other routes like the 19, 22, 319 and C1 stop at Sloane Square and then it’s a10 minute walk to the garden show.
The nearest train station to the flower show is Victoria Station and a frequent shuttle bus will run between the station and the show starting at 7am every day and running until 8pm.
The shuttle leaves from Hudson’s Place just outside Victoria Station and it’ll drop you at Barrack Gate on Chelsea Bridge Road. You won’t be able to miss the thousands of people streaming in the same direction!
For more Public Transport Information Call 020 7222 1234 or visit the Transport for London website.
If you do bring your car there is public parking available at Battersea Park on a first come first served basis. Battersea is outside the congestion zone and is about 20 minutes walk from the show.
There is also a park and ride option available from Battersea. Buses operate at frequent intervals between Battersea and the show ground’s Bull Ring Gate.
Car parking costs 25 pounds a day.
Look at the official map and you’ll see a green bike which will mark the bicycle racks located at Burton’s Court that are available for cyclists.
Wheelchairs can be hired but must be pre-booked. For more information on wheelchair bookings call 08455 260 7000. The last day for bookings will be May 21st 2010.
